My grandmother was a strong woman of dignity and courage. She raised several children on her own with the help of the Lord. (Two preceded her in death). My grandmother was one that took a little of nothing and made it into something. She never complained about her circumstances, but rather she made the best of every situation. My grandfather was killed in a wreck back in 1962 leaving her no choice but to allow God access to her life to help her with what she couldn't do in her own strength. My mom was the only one that never got to see my grandfather physically, but the stories told by my grandmother and her siblings carried her through life. My grandmother passed away at the age of seventy-two following a long drawn out battle with Lung Cancer. Although she is gone, her memories linger in the mind and the hearts of all who knew her.
Letter from the Editor Psalm 119:11; Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee. The word lifts the dark veil and illuminates our pathway so that we may see our way. | Even when we are uncertain of what completely lies ahead, we can be rest assured that God is leading us by the hand. ~Editor-N-Chief |
As mothers; especially single mothers as I am, sometimes our time seem as though it is very limited. What are we to do when time seems not to be on our side? Keeping a schedule is very helpful! I've found that keeping a daily routine going helps me tremendously! SP | We thank God for everything that he has entrusted into our hands as women of God. We are not in this alone! Our men of God also have tremendous tasks on their plates. Let us encourage one another! We are victorious through Christ Jesus. In | understanding this, it's imperative for us to get a good nights rest. Eat a balanced and nutritious breakfast and take care of ourselves while we are taking care of everyone else! |
